Shoreline Community College maintains an open enrollment policy for all students who are high school graduates, have earned a General Education Development (GED) certificate or are at least 18 years of age.
If you're applying for admissions for the first time, you can follow these easy steps to apply to Shoreline Community College. Most enrollment processes are available online for your convenience.
- Apply Online: (International Students Apply Here) For those students who plan to take college credit classes and are NOT in high school. You will enter the online application module. Upon completion, you will be notified by mail how to make an appointment for advising and registration.
- Apply by Mail (or in person) simply print the application, fill it out and submit it to Mailing Address: Shoreline Community College Admissions Office - 16101 Greenwood Avenue N. - Shoreline, WA 98133
- Apply for Financial Aid Financial assistance is available from many sources. Review your Financial Aid options by checking the Financial Aid website. You may obtain additional information by contacting SCC Financial Aid Office at (206) 546-4762.
- Take the COMPASS or ASSET Test Testing is required for all students planning to enroll in math, English, or courses designated (writing). Click for testing information or call (206) 546-4608. If you have taken the ACT or SAT test (at any date) you may use them for English placement. Please submit your ACT or SAT scores to the Admissions Office. Math placement will still require that you take the COMPASS (or ASSET) test.
- Submit your Transcripts If you have attended high school within the last five years, obtain a final high school transcript to bring to your advising and registration appointment. If you previously attended college, arrange to have official college transcripts sent to our Admissions Office if you wish to transfer credit from other colleges, meet course prerequisites, or if you plan to receive veterans benefits or federal financial aid.
- Schedule a New Student Orientation Session Orientation and Registration sessions are offered for all new incoming students. Once you have submitted an application, you will receive information about scheduling your orientation appointment. Or go to the New Student Orientation Scheduling System.
