Paul Smiley comes to Shoreline after many years of coaching competitive ASA and High School fast pitch softball. He has taken four ASA teams to nationals and two high school teams to the state tournament. He coached the only team from the state of Washington that has ever won the prestigious Colorado Classic tournament. Since he started coaching in 1985, Smiley has helped over 150 young student athletes achieve their dreams of playing softball at the collegiate level.  Smiley believes that there are many life lessons that can be learned from competing in athletics, and believes that through hard work and dedication, no goal or dream is out of reach. 

The intercollegiate women's softball season begins on February 1st and concludes in late May with the NWAACC championships. In addition to the spring program, Shoreline also runs a fall softball program.
