Any work, which does not meet minimum requirements will be rejected. Papers are to be word processed unless otherwise specified (study guide responses may be written in book). All papers need to be in a portfolio  with your name, date, and class on the top.  Most of your assignments can be posted on the Discussion Board (your bio, your progress reports for weeks 3,5,and 8 and group work).

Readings and Telecourse Videos: I expect that you will have done the assigned reading with each week's video lesson (Refer to Study Guide for correlating reading assignment that compliments the weekly video).

Participation: Telecourse students need to form a support group by sharing specific goals and progress with an individual that will support you and your endeavors to improve your life. On blackboard you may discuss and form small groups with individuals with similar interests - please let me know what group area you would like me to post on the discussion board if you do not see one already posted that you would like to participate in. You may also find a support group from your friends and family members. Communication of the ideas learned from the text and video will enhance your learning. Try sharing and getting others to improve along with you.

Addressing personal and controversial issues is a difficult and valuable skill which you will have opportunity to practice . My major goal will be to create a classroom climate that encourages healthy intellectual sharing and support (the kind that leads to overall wellness, intellectual and emotional growth). We are a team with the same goal: WELLNESS! All sharing within our classroom is to be kept confidential among our class members. Sharing personal and confidential issues is not required. Please feel free to enter on discussions in Blackboard.

Make sure to have 50% of your work completed by midterm (do 8 chapters of the workbook,  do 13 chapters of the study guide and have individual goals and behavior changes in progress. Post a short progress report by week 3,5 and 8 detailing all of the behavior changes and work you have completed.

                                                                         GROUP WORK
Groups will require a cooperative exploration of issues relating to health and wellness. Hopefully it may also offer a form of support to enhance your success rate in reaching your desired personal goals. Join a small group on the discussion board or form your own support group with your family and friends. You and your group will discuss individually and collaboratively your personal progress toward successfully obtaining your goals.  Support works!
