Grant
Resource Center
Welcome to the Grant Resource
Center at Shoreline Community College
The Grants Office, part of the
Workforce and Economic Development (WED) Division at Shoreline,
provides support to faculty, staff
and students to develop and manage grant-funded projects
and fellowships.
The office provides help to
those on campus who want to
plan, develop, and write a complete and responsive
grant proposal. Contrary to popular
belief, proposal development is primarily a planning endeavor, not a writing
exercise. WED can help facilitate
the planning process and edit proposals
to form a compelling storyline for the funding agency or organization.
Grants allow us to serve students by generating
financial and institutional resources that would otherwise be unavailable.
For example, grants can fund program development, test new or innovative
instructional or student services,
fund equipment and help to increase capacity.
Fellowships provide faculty and students with the opportunity for in-depth
learning and community outreach. All faculty, staff and
administrators are encouraged to pursue applying for and implementing
grant-funded projects and fellowships.
If you have an idea for a project or critical funding need, the first step is to
complete the:
Grant-Funded Project Assistance Request Form
To secure administrative approval for your project and the support and
assistance of the Grants Office.
